ILCA School of Liver Cancer 2016

The second edition of the ILCA School of Liver Cancer jointly organised by the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) on 7–8 March 2016 in Barcelona was a very successful meeting full of fruitful discussions and learning outcomes.

The event welcomed over 215 participants coming from 31 different countries. ILCA warmly thanks all the delegates, speakers, session chairs, BCLC and supports for making this second edition such a fantastic success.

The ILCA School 2016 focused on Liver Cancer: Future Prospects in Management and Research. The programme offered presentations about the current knowledge of the pathogenesis of liver cancer as well as the evidence-based data for an optimal clinical management of patients diagnosed with this disease.

In addition, participants understood the philosophy and working approach of the Barcelona Clínic Liver Cancer (BCLC) as a leading multidisciplinary team. The attendees were exposed to research needs both at the clinical and laboratory level.
