2011

For the very first time in Asia, the Fifth ILCA Annual Conference was extremely well attended, with 820 participants from 41 countries.

Our Society is thankful for the valuable support and involvement of all its delegates and contributors – speakers, session chairs, workshop leaders, abstract presenters, partners and sponsors, who, through their support and trust, are contributing to the ILCA community and hence to the advancement of liver cancer science and care worldwide.

ILCA 2011 was a key milestone as ILCA celebrated its 5th anniversary and brought the conference for the first time to Asia. The Society also elected its third President, Prof. Josep M. Llovet (Spain/USA), who succeeded Prof. Gregory Gores (USA). New Governing Board members also joined the ILCA leadership, bringing new experiences and backgrounds to the organisation.
